Common Course Numbering

To make it easier for students to transfer credits among Washington's 34 community and technical colleges, the State Board for Community and Technical Colleges developed the Common Course Numbering system.

Bates Technical College has changed many of its courses to a Common Course Numbering system. These courses are numbered and titled similarly at every community and technical college in the state. Courses identified as Common Courses have an "&" sign in the course number, for example: ENGL& 101.
