The mission of the Integrating Diversity and Equal-Access in Learning (IDEAL) Committee shall be to initiate and support efforts that promote diversity at all levels of the institution while fostering a learning and working environment that is equally accessible and barrier free.
The council supports the college's diversity efforts through planning events; supporting issues related to barrier‐free physical access and equal educational opportunity; collaborating with other organizations to create partnerships; implementing the college's diversity action plan; and assisting in the college's hiring efforts.
IDEAL membership is made up of college employees and trustees, and chaired by Nerissa Del Rosario, Human Resources Generalist and Diversity Officer.
Meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Diversity Center, Downtown Campus, Room E301.
