About Tacoma

Bates Technical College is located in the city of Tacoma in Washington State, in the Northwest corner of the United States. Tacoma is a progressive, international port city situated on the shores of Puget Sound. The city is located 35 miles south of Seattle and is within easy driving distance of mountains, the Pacific Ocean, Canada and other large international cities such as Portland, Oregon.

Tacoma is a city of 200,000 population (third largest city in the state) located in northwest Washington state - just 30 minutes from Seattle and the capital city, Olympia. Students should fly into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
