Inocente documentary screening

Homeless teen turned renowned artist, Inocente is the subject of an Academy Award-winning documentary. In partnership with Making a Difference in Community, Bates hosts two free screenings to help raise awareness about homelessness in Pierce County.

First Screening: 11:30 a.m.

Second Screening: 6 p.m.

Inocente, 19 spent most of her youth experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles, and found meaning in life through her art. She was recently the subject of the documentary Inocente, which won the Academy Award earlier this year, and tells the story of a young woman who was not defined by her situation, but by her dreams.
