Bates hosts Open House for prospective studentsTuesday, April 10
Event showcases career programs, hands-on activities and state-of-the art classrooms
TACOMA, Wash. - Bates Technical College will open its doors to the public for the annual Open House on Thursday, April 19, 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m., at the college's South Campus, 2201 S. 78th St., in Tacoma.
The Open House will showcase state-of-the-art classrooms and other campus improvements, including the new Student Services Center.
Prospective students can explore career options; take a tour and a career exploration test; talk with faculty and advisors; and learn about financial aid options, scholarships and grants, Running Start, Technical High School and our Business and Management Training Center.
During the event, attendees can participate in interactive, hands-on activities with Dental Assistant, Practical Nurse, CNC Machinist, Commercial Truck Driving-Entry Level, and Fire Service programs.
Enjoy hot dogs, chips and pop for just $1.50 while supplies last, and listen to live music during lunch.
