KBTC Receives Three Emmy Nominations

TACOMA, Wash. - KBTC public television  is honored to be nominated for three, 2012 EMMY® Awards by the Northwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
 
The EMMY® nominations, announced Friday in Seattle, were given to IN MY TIME OF DYING, a special documentary about end-of-life issues and hospice and palliative care; a promotional campaign for KBTC's FRIDAY NIGHT MYSTERIES; and for the Post Production Directing talent of Daniel Kopec for IN MY TIME OF DYING.
 
"We are committed to telling Washington's stories and discussing the important issues of our communities," said David Hinman, KBTC General Manager, "That's one of the joys of working at a local public television station. We're honored to have our work recognized."
 
Over the past several years, KBTC has received numerous nominations and has received seven statuettes for its public affairs and cultural affairs productions.
 
IN MY TIME OF DYING was written and produced by Daniel Kopec with videography and editing by Chris Sherlock.
 
The MYSTERY VIGNETTES were produced by John Llewellyn Moxey with videography and editing by Michael Peters.
 
Winners of the 49th Annual Northwest Regional EMMY® Awards will be announced on Saturday, June 2.
