Barber / Stylist
At Bates Technical College, our Barber / Stylist Career Training Program offers all aspects of instruction to learn the profession of a Barber. In addition to being trained in hair expertise, you will be trainined in shaving, hair cutting, shampooing, and styling. Students meeting all State of Washington WAC requirements for licensure as a barber will be issued a Certificate of Training. The training at Bates Technical College is premier.
The Program
The Barber Program is located at Bates Technical College Downtown Campus, 1101 S Yakima Ave. Expect to attend 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday and to work with walk-in customers. Your education will be completed in approximately 9 months.
Our Customers
We welcome walk-ins Monday - Friday from 10 am - 4 pm. Costs range from $4.75 - 10 depending on services requested. Call 253.680.7248.

Jeff brings much experience from industry and continued participation in associations and organizations. As a professional Barber for 30 years, Jeff has instructed students successfully and has been a member of the Cosmetology, Barber, Manicurist and Esthetision State Board for 8 years, member of the International Guest Artist association participating as a judge in the Local Regional and National Hair Styling Competitions, assisted in rewriting the state written and practical exams, and a member of the Barbers International, an association of Barbers. |
