Every year, fires are the cause of thousands of casualties and billions of dollars of property damage

In fact, fire accounts for more casualties than all natural disasters combined

People all know and respect their local fire service personnel, but there is more to preventing fire damage than just putting out fires

Let’s take a look.

We’ve all seen this time and time again Fire departments responding to a blaze

Only this time, it seems the fire has put itself out

There is a special segment of the Fire Service devoted to making events like this a reality

It’s called fire protection engineering.

But do many people know what it is?
