Medical, Dental, Life and Disability Insurance

Bates offers an array of benefits to eligible employees and their family members. Visit the Washington state Health Care Authority to learn more.

Retirement Plans

Listed below are retirement plans available for eligible employees:

Employee Assistance Program

Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Fully Effective Employees, helps our employees and their family members resolve personal or work-related problems. Using your EAP does not cost you anything. Call 1.800.648.5834 for a username and password.

Credit Unions

As a Bates employee, you may join one of two credit unions: Washington School Employees Credit Union and School Employees Credit Union. Both services include payroll direct deposit, automatic bill pay, savings and checking accounts, overdraft protection, personal lines of credit and low interest loans.

Washington Wellness

The goal of Washington Wellness is to make healthy choices easier for state employees, retirees and family members.

Flexible Spending Account

The PEBB Program offers a medical flexible spending account (FSA) program that allows you to set aside money from each paycheck - before taxes - to pay for out-of-pocket health expenses. The FSA is only offered to PEBB benefits-eligible state and higher education employees.
