Financial Aid Orientation

Welcome to the online Financial Aid Orientation.

Reviewing this material and successfully completing the quizzes is Required for all NEW Financial Aid applicants. If you received financial aid during the 2005-2006 year (September 2005 – July 2006), you do not need to complete the orientation for 2006-2007.

If you cannot complete this online orientation due to a disability or limited English skills, please come into the Financial Aid Office at the Downtown or South Campus to request a waiver.

We understand that financial aid can be a complicated process. The purpose of this “orientation” is to explain this process and to help you understand what is involved when you apply for and receive financial aid.

It is the financial aid staff's responsibility to inform you of the conditions and requirements of accepting financial aid. It is your responsibility to understand these conditions and requirements.

To meet the requirement of completing this orientation, you must read through every screen. You will be asked questions highlighting important information. At the end of the orientation, you will be asked for your name, Student Identification Number, or Social Security Number. This information will be forwarded to the Financial Aid Office as proof of completion of this orientation.

There will be four parts to this orientation covering the following topics:

You must answer a minimum number of questions correctly. If you have not reached this minimum at the end of the orientation, you will be directed to start over until you are successful.
