Automotive Mechanic

In an active auto service facility, students practice all aspects of the profession, from balancing tires to diagnosing engine problems using advanced computerized engine analyzers to perform repairs, engine and transmission overhauls, fuel injection service and more.

Students prepare for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in the service industry as automotive technicians to work in independent auto repair shops, car dealerships, tire shops, specialty shops, franchises, governmental agencies, car rental companies, utility firms, fleet operations, and other businesses where auto repair and service is performed. Note: Training is configured according to Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification requirements. Students are encouraged to take one or more ASE certification tests while completing the program.
