 The HTI+ certification is a test of skills in home technologies, created and managed by CompTIA, the Computer Industry Trade Association. To earn the HTI+ certification, the candidate must pass two computer-based tests of skills:

Exam two: Systems Infrastructure Domain % of Exam 1.0 Structured Wiring 1A. Low voltage (e.g., twisted pair, coax, shielded, fiber) 25% 1B. High voltage (nominal 120/140 volt) 25% 2.0 Systems Integration: User int. & control processors 50% Total 100%

There is no formal requirement in the building or HTI industries at this time for technicians to possess the HTI+ certification. Tests cost $139 each. |
