Broadcasting and Video Production Program Information

Our Broadcasting and Video Production program is nationally recognized by the Society of Broadcast Engineers and carries their certification for industry approved course content.

This program is degree-granting in three specialty areas: “Broadcast Operational Engineering”, “Broadcast System Engineering”, and “Broadcast Equipment Maintenance”. Students are prepared to meet the technological convergence of the television, computer, and film industries by receiving competency based instruction and hands-on practice in a fully licensed, operational, television broadcast facilities owned and operated by the school.

The Broadcast Operational Engineering career path prepares students for employment in many exciting industry areas. Responsibilities include the set-up, adjustment and operation of broadcast facilities, and technical support positions for news, sports, and field productions. Job titles in the field include:
