Students prepare for employment in the operational and technical areas of television broadcast stations, broadband distribution centers, sports stadiums, cable companies, video production studios, and other related fields by learning the installation, operation, and maintenance skills necessary in the industry.
Completion could lead to employment as an engineering technician in a wide variety of specialty areas such as audio, broadcast, camera, design, electronic field production and electronic news gathering graphics, maintenance, microwave and satellite systems, quality control, satellite news gathering, transmitter, and video editor.
The nationally recognized program is a leader in offering the advanced technical training required for tomorrow's successful employees. The curriculum includes new and emerging digital television technology, and has been determined by the Society of Broadcast Engineers to meet the requirements for student certification as broadcast technologist upon successful testing at course completion.
