Students develop competencies designed to prepare graduates for entry-level employment as technicians in the field of electronic engineering. Graduates are qualified to work with electronic engineers, consultants, manufacturers and research and development teams.
Studies include computer-aided drafting (CAD), printed circuit board design, electronic packaging, solid state components, digital and microprocessors. Students are encouraged to take the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) examinations and seek certification as electronic engineering technicians.
