Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician

Students prepare for certified entry-level employment in the heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration trade as air conditioning, control, energy systems, heating and refrigeration technicians, and HVAC sales positions.

The program also provides extended learning for persons previously or currently employed in the trade or in occupations which require HVAC/Refrigeration training. Note: Students are required to pass the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute Industry competency exam. Sufficient training is provided to qualify students to take the Environmental Protection Agency certificating examination required to work in the industry. 1,100 hours of credit are applied toward the Washington State O6A electrical certificate.  

Sheet Metal workers work closely with HVAC technicians.
