Visit our high school page to learn how you can earn college credit while you're still in high school.

How do I choose a program?
If you already know the program you're interested in, attend an information session to learn more. For additional career guidance, the Career Explorer assessment may be right for you. Contact the Testing/Assesment Center to find out more.

If you're still undecided about your program, talk with a career specialist. What do I do if I have transcripts from other institutions?
Bates accepts official transcripts from other institutions. Transcripts must be sent in a sealed envelope to the attention of the credentials evaluator in the registration office. Transcripts sent electronically will also be accepted.

Is financial aid available?
Our financial aid office will assist you in finding the resources to help finance your education. Financial aid is available for eligible students; students and their families need not be low-income to qualify for some kinds of financial aid. Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov to apply for financial aid or to learn more. We recommend that students apply for financial aid as early as possible. Pre-qualification may take up to eight weeks after the application has been mailed.

In addition to financial aid, students are encouraged to apply for scholarships available through the Bates Technical College Foundation.

Is Bates accredited?
Bates Technical College is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. Additionally, many career education programs meet specific industry certification, accreditation and approval.
