The college serves approximately 13,000 students in career education, Continuing Education, Technical High School, and Running Start, business and management training, business outreach programs, home and family life programs and apprenticeship training.
The college offers associate of technology degrees, certificates of competency and certificates of training in hundreds of career areas. Additionally, and often as part of a degree program, students prepare for the achievement of industry certification and state licensure.
Some 500 business and industry representatives serve on advisory committees. Bates has developed strong relationships with many businesses and is a national training site for several prominent corporations. Locally, Bates provides training for several fire districts, works with 20 home and family sites, and has provided training to more than 900 businesses.
Bates operates on three campuses with more than 600,000 feet of classrooms, shops, meeting rooms and offices and employs approximately 1,100 full and part-time employees.
