Bates' Library has a variety of audio-visual and computing equipment available for checkout or in-library use. Library equipment may only be used for college-approved activities.

Reservations
On the first working day of the month, library staff will accept equipment reservations for the following month. Equipment reservations are held until one (1) hour prior to closing on the first day of the reservation unless the customer contacts the library staff and makes other arrangements.

Loan Periods
Loan periods vary based on specific equipment. In order to serve as many customers as possible, loan periods are limited to the actual time needed for the equipment and are not to exceed one week.

Pickup and Return:
All equipment must be picked up and returned to the Library during open hours.

• The customer making the reservation is responsible for the timely and safe return of all equipment.
• Customers may make arrangements in advance with the library staff to have someone else pick up or return the equipment.
• The person picking up the equipment must be identified to library staff and authorized by the customer making the reservation..
