Technical High School Orientations

High school students who wish to pursue their education at Bates will now participate in a two-pronged orientation process to enroll. Bates' Technical High School Principal, Peter Hauschka, redesigned the orientation in part to help students determine which career education program they are most interested in and to encourage a greater sense of involvement in their education.

Students must attend and participate in both sessions to be considered for admittance into Bates' programs as a Technical High School student.

Session 1: Led by Mr. Peter Hauschka, this session features an introduction to Bates' Technical High School and our career programs. Prospective students will learn about Bates' offerings, complete a career interest survey, and choose a work assignment.

Session 2: Led by Bates' professional advising staff, this session features an inside look at Bates' choices for high school students, including the various tracks and programs available, and provides an overview of the required admittance forms.
