JOINT TESTING 2009
WRITTEN EXAMINATION
The examination will be video based and consist of a multiple-choice Human Relations test, Mechanical Aptitude test, Reading test and Math test. Applicants will need to be available to test for 2.5 hours. The applicants that have EMT, Firefighter I, Paramedic certificates and letter of CPAT Pass must provide copies at time of application.
VETERANS PREFERENCE
Veterans will be accorded a credit as provided by RCW 41.04.010. In order to be eligible you must be a “veteran” as defined in RCW 41.04.005 and claim preference within fifteen years of the date of release from active service.
PHYSICAL AGILITY
An optional Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) orientation and walk through will be scheduled the same day as the written testing. The CPAT is a timed, pass/fail event. Additional agency specific fitness evaluations may be required by each participating agency. Departments not affiliated with our process that are looking for this type of service may contact:
