The development of quality faculty and staff is key to the overall success of the College and essential to the application of our vision, philosophy, mission and goals. At Bates, we understand the value of our faculty and staff, and are therefore committed to offering opportunites that prepare our employees for future roles and responsibilities.

Employee groups Professional-Technical, Faculty, Facilities and Operations and Campus Public Safety, recieve some compensation for participating in our Staff Development classes. For additional information, please consult your Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Learning Opportunities

• Class Schedule Staff Development
  These courses are offered through Human Resources and are generally taught in a “classroom” type environment.

  These courses are offered through Bates and are generally taught in an alternative style environment, such as on-line or through continuing education.
