Tutoring services are available at no cost to all enrolled Bates students. We also assist those who are preparing for COMPASS or GED testing through Bates. Depending upon specific needs, tutoring may be arranged in an individual, group or lab setting. We also offer assistance in learning style assessment, study skills, and with problem solving for any issue that is acting as a barrier to academic success. In addition to academics, we frequently assist students with career program materials ranging from textbook comprehension and test taking strategies to program-related mathematics.

Hours and Location
The Tutoring Center’s Downtown office is located in room E302. We are open on a variable schedule throughout the week and also by appointment. Our core walk-in hours are:
- 11 am to 12:30 pm Monday through Thursday
- 2-4 pm Tuesdays
South Campus tutoring is held in the library:
- 11 am to 12:30 pm Tuesday through Thursday
- 2-4 Thursdays
Mohler campus students, please call and we will be glad to meet with you either downtown or onsite at Mohler.
