You might be asking, what is the Tacoma Business Academy (TBA)? The TBA is a partnership between Bates Technical College, Tacoma Public Schools, and Communities in Schools of Tacoma that offers a new pathway for high school completion. The TBA provides young adults ages 16 to 21 who are no longer enrolled in high school, and who may be working in low-paying jobs, with an opportunity to earn a high school diploma while taking business, marketing, or information technology classes. Students in this unique academy receive personalized, one-on-one attention, and have customized learning plans that fit their needs.
