TACOMA, WA At its annual meeting in June, the Bates Technical College Foundation Board of Directors approved the nominations of three new board members.
Bates alumni Chris Winters (’94), business representative for the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) Local 1964, Bryce Carpenter, diesel and heavy equipment mechanic instructor at Bates, and Dave Montgomerie, dean of the college’s Business Management and Training Center, were appointed to three year terms. Winters has been elected to serve as the chair of the Alumni Association Committee.
“I am pleased to announce the three-year appointment of these community members to the Foundation Board of Directors. With their expertise and insights, I am confident they will help the Foundation in its mission to attract and provide resources through community partnerships to serve the college and its students,” said Kimberly Pleger, Foundation Director.
