At the successful completion of the program curriculum, students will be able to:

  1. Use financial statements to make decisions.
  2. Prepare and evaluate financial statements according to generally accepted accounting principles.
  3. Perform basic accounting operations.
  4. Evaluate accounting systems.
  5. Prepare master budgets.
  6. Apply established auditing concepts. 
  7. Analyze management control systems.
  8. Analyze transaction cycles.
  9. Analyze and communicate the effects of basic tax rules on individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
  10. Prepare basic tax returns for individuals and business.
  11. File tax returns for individuals and businesses.
  12. Identify accounting, tax, auditing, and ethical issues in structure problems and unstructured fact-based situations.
  13. Perform research relating to the accounting field.
  14. Use a range of techniques to analyze information.Use software to improve efficiency and internal control.
