Fire Recruit Academy

This ten-week Fire Academy, offered at our South Campus, is designed for entry level career staff or individuals seeking advanced training and evaluation, and is IFSAC accredited for Firefighter I.  Academy graduates receive, upon successful completion, certifications for Firefighter I, Hazardous Material Operations, Hazardous Material Awareness, Burn to Learn, and Combat Flammable Liquids Fires.

The course fee is $4,206.54 and is subject to change without  notice. Housing and food service are available.

Prerequisite: Fire Department extrance exam, medical and agility test. Medical evaluation required for self-sponsored recruits.
