What to expect on your test day:
Arrive early, as parking can be somewhat difficult at times. Visitor parking is available on Ernest S. Brazill Street (a one-way street), between the main building and the east annex. Designated parking map (pdf)
Register, schedule, and pay online at www.ged.com at least 24 hours before you want to test.
Arrive at Bates' Assessment Center, M216, at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled test times.
Bring your confirmation email you received when you scheduled, confirming your date and time.
Present current, Washington state-issued ID with your name, address, date of birth, signature, and photo. The name on this ID must exactly match that on your registration. Photocopied, expired or punched identification will not be accepted.
Sign GED and Pearson Vue Rules Agreements.
Sign in electronically, have your photo taken, and sign in-and-out on a log sheet.
You will have the use of an erasable board and pen during tests (as scratch paper).
You will store all outerwear and belongings (including coats, hats, watches, large jewelry, all electronics) in lockers in our lobby; ONLY your locker card and ID are allowed in the test lab.
During GED® Testing:
You will have the opportunity to watch a "how to maneuver and answer questions" tutorial before each test.
If you schedule more than one test during the same session, you will be allowed a 10-minute break between them. Return within the 10 minutes; if you take longer, those minutes will be deducted from your second test allowance. Please remember, with the exception of Reasoning through Language Arts, there are NO BREAKS during a test, only between tests. (Schedule tests separately, rather than back-to-back, if you need a longer break.)
You may schedule for either the English or Spanish versions of the test (all four tests must be in the same language).
After completing testing (at least four hours in length), access your account at MyGed® to view your score.
