Assessment Center

Welcome to the Assessment Center at Bates Technical College. We are dedicated to providing quality testing and assessment services to our students, faculty, staff, and the community. Our services include:

Entrance and Placement Testing:
- COMPASS Placement
- COMPASS ESL Placement (for students who speak English as their second language)
- Ability to Benefit (for financial aid)
General Education Development (GED), You may request a GED transcript for $4.22
College Level Examination Program (CLEP)
Career Explorer, a career testing and counseling package
Testing for Students with Special Needs (available by appointment; contact the Assessment Center for more information)
Proctored Testing for Distance Learning students (available by appointment; contact the Assessment Center for more information)
