Web Development

Web design skills are more desirable today than they have ever been before. Web designer and developers design and create websites and are responsible to create layout designs and user interfaces that have the right blend of information, structures, navigation, and graphics. To stay competitive in the field, developers must be aware of changing web standards, issues such as browser and mobile device compatibility. Students in the program learn to use industry software including design, development, social media, and content management tools.

Several different jobs titles can be classified as web designer or developer. From visual designer, to developing pages writing code, to user testing, accessibility experts, social media specialist, or creating content for the site. Web design and development is a field of constant innovation and reinvention. Web designers and developers can find employment in a large corporation, a small family-run company, a non-profit organization, a school, government agency, or any other kind of company or organization.
